LBS faculty member recognised by AMA
Professor Rajesh Chandy wins Vijay Mahajan Award for Lifetime Contributions to Marketing Strategy Research
Rajesh Chandy, London Business School Professor of Marketing, has won the 2018 Vijay Mahajan Award for Lifetime Contributions to Marketing Strategy Research from the American Marketing Association’s Marketing Strategy Special Interest Group.
The accolade recognises Professor Chandy’s outstanding impact on marketing strategy practice, research and education.
He was presented the award at the AMA’s 2018 Summer Educators Conference in Boston.
Professor Chandy said he was thankful for the AMA’s recognition of his work.
“It is always humbling to receive positive feedback, but to receive this type of acknowledgement from my peers is particularly gratifying,” he said.
Professor Chandy holds the Tony and Maureen Wheeler Chair in Entrepreneurship at LBS and is the Academic Director of the School’s Wheeler Institute for Business and Development. He is a co-editor of the Journal of Marketing Special Issue on 'Better Marketing for a Better World'. This summer, he was named a Fellow of the prestigious British Academy.
