Yueyang Zhong

Assistant Professor of Management Science and Operations

Dr Yueyang Zhong is an expert in stochastic modelling and optimisation of human-centred service systems. Her research aims to develop policies that align individual incentives with the goals of system designers. In particular, Dr Zhong is interested in topics including the impact of human behaviour on system design decisions, data-driven sequential decision-making, information design in social impact domains, and equitable resource allocation in service systems.

Before joining LBS, Dr Zhong held postdoctoral research positions at the University of Chicago and Yale University. She holds a PhD in Management Science and Operations Management and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Economics from Tsinghua University.

Alongside academia, Dr Zhong has collaborated with various companies including DiDi Chuxing, Pinterest, and proprietary trading firms in the US. She has also consulted for supply chain firms to develop AI-powered tools.
