BK Birla Scholarship Programme
The BK Birla Scholars programme at LBS provides funding in perpetuity to ten outstanding full-time MBA candidates each year, five from India and five from the rest of the world.
The BK Birla Scholars Programme is supported by a generous £15 million endowed scholarship gift from the Aditya Birla Group. The first cohort started in Autumn 2019.
Announced by LBS alumnus Kumar Mangalam Birla MBA33(1992), Chairman of the Aditya Birla Group, the BK Birla Scholars Programme marks the largest endowed scholarship gift to a European Business School.
Our vision
The programme honours the legacy of celebrated businessman and philanthropist Basant Kumar (BK) Birla. It awards scholarships to LBS MBA candidates who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential and uphold the ideals of integrity, dedication and service to humanity.

How to apply
All eligible candidates will be automatically considered for this award. This is usually at the end of the Admissions year, just prior to matriculation.
