Our Rethinking Capitalism series invites distinguished guests and thought leaders to contribute to the fundamental debates happening today. This has involved LBS faculty in conversation with leading voices including, Andres Schleifer, Daron Acemoglu, Oded Galor, Esther Duflo, Abhijit Banerjee, Gita Gopinath, Rebecca Henderson and Thomas Philippon.
Our open-access and awarded African History through the Lens of Economics lecture series attracted 27,000+ registrations and studies the impact of Africa’s history on contemporary development, exploring current economic and development challenges by drawing parallels between the past and present.
From leading academics to industry experts, policy makers, government officials and business practitioners, we invite distinguished speakers from a broad range of backgrounds to discuss the past, present and future challenges and opportunities that are pervasive across the world, and the role of business in sustainable development.
The Wheeler Institute Climate Initiative brings together some powerful ideas across our network through forums, events and lecture series with the goal to communicate and exchange insights on the power of business to help society ameliorate and adapt to climate change.
