When a business vision isn't working
London Business School’s Jessica Spungin joined former BBC Radio 1 Controller Matthew Bannister and writer, TV presenter, and entrepreneur Liz Earle on the BBC’s The Bottom Line, the weekly business discussion programme which encourages business leaders and entrepreneurs to respond to topical questions impacting the business community.
When the subject of the U-Turn had never been more topical, the guests turned their minds to issue of companies that begin to depart from their original mission. Is it best to pivot, or stay the course they were asked?
Dr. Spungin, who teaches an elective in Strategic Innovation, and is core faculty for the experiential project classes London Cap and London Lab, said that it was important for business founders to “know your source of distinctiveness; build on what you’re uniquely capable of”.
The Bottom Line’s What do you do when your business vision isn't working? was aired on 13 October 2022.
