London students help school express brand on canvas

1801Winning artwork showcased at London Business School exhibition

Winning artwork commissioned to reflect London Business School’s promise to give every student a voice and the opportunity to make their mark on business anywhere in the world, will be judged at an exhibition.

The ‘Find Your Voice’ competition was launched in partnership with Camberwell College of Arts whose students submitted 65 pieces of art, from which 35 have been selected for the exhibition on 08 May 2013. Each student was asked to create an original image inspired by the brand promise, “find your voice”.

A panel of judges will pick the top three pieces from works of art executed in graphics, illustration or fine art photography and prizes will be awarded.

Caitlin Anstee, Head of Marketing Campaigns, London Business School said: “We have been so impressed and pleased with the engagement from Camberwell College of Arts on this project. The students have developed an exciting and eclectic body of artwork that will be used to bring our brand to life.”

The judges include:

Marianne Forrest, an accomplished artist who graduated from The Royal College of Art as a Master silversmith. Marianne’s work has been exhibited at the Victorian and Albert Museum, The Goldsmiths Company Collection and The Scottish Gallery. Marianne lectures all over the country and is a course leader of the BA Silversmithing and Jewellery course at Sir John Cass.

Nigel Nicholson, Professor of Organisational Behaviour at London Business School and an accomplished author of over 20 published books and 200 articles. Nigel’s latest book to be published entitled, The “I” of Leadership: Strategies for seeing, being and doing, looks at leadership through the lens of biography and the self.

Patricia Hodgins, the Programme Director for the Centre for Management Development at London Business School, a consultant in management and organisational development and a tutor on Executive Education programmes at London Business School. Patricia’s career has spanned both the business and creative worlds and she looks to build bridges between the two.
