London Business School will host its inaugural LBS Online Webfest next month.

The free, online seminar series will explore pressing business issues - from Generative AI through to the pushback against DEI, the outcome of COP29 and beyond - via five daily interactive sessions beginning Monday, 2 December.

Delivered by leading teaching faculty and industry experts, the one-hour sessions are designed to challenge conventional thinking and offer audiences actionable takeaways that can be applied immediately.

The week kicks off with an exploration of the recent pushback against DEI. Led by Dr Zsuzsanna Tungli PHD95, Academic Director of LBS’s Building Diverse and Inclusive Teams online course, the session will outline a powerful inclusion roadmap and explain how organisations can advance gender balance, ethnic and racial diversity, while simultaneously building policies, systems, and behaviours that ensure everyone has the opportunity to grow and thrive.

On Tuesday, 3 December, hear from Professor of Management Science and Operation Nicos Savva as he explores whether Generative AI is disruption or simply a distraction. Drawing on cutting-edge research and real-world examples from his Business Analytics in the Age of Generative AI course, Professor Savva will outline the key hurdles enterprises face when navigating this new technology and how it can be successful integrated.

The increasing salience of cybersecurity and digital trust in the age of AI comes into focus on Wednesday, 4 December. S. Alex Yang, Professor of Management Science and Operations, explains why leaders can no longer solely rely on IT departments to manage cybersecurity risks, what is digital trust and how AI is reshaping both.

Fintech Forward: From vision to reality will be on Thursday, 5 December. Join Gary Dushnitsky, Associate Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship, and Paul Christensen, Co-founder & CEO of Previse, as they demonstrate how established financial firms have utilised new and existing technologies to better serve their existing customers and markets.

Wrapping up Webfest on the Friday, 6 December, will be Ioannis Ioannou, Associate Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship. Joining him in conversation are Ricardo Assumpcao, Partner at EY, and Ione Anderson, Associate Partner at EY. Together, they will discuss the outcomes of COP16 and COP29, and what they mean for business and the environment. This conversation is a timely exploration of how businesses can adapt to and lead in the evolving sustainability landscape, setting the stage for a resilient and responsible future.
