About me: Magdalena earned her Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a major in Economics from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Before joining LBS, she served as an Associate at Stars Investments, one of the largest family offices in South America. Starting as a trainee, she gained experience in financial portfolio management, real estate and corporate assets. Eventually, she rose to an associate position in the private equity division, where she was responsible for analysing and executing direct investments in Chile, the US and Europe. Moreover, she managed the fund-of-funds, investing in renowned entities like Carlyle, Bain and KKR, among others. Over time, Magdalena took charge of the European funds portfolio.
When choosing an MBA programme, Magdalena prioritised international recognition and a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion. These values are essential for fostering global business perspectives. The emphasis at LBS on promoting female leadership with a DEI and ESG vision made it the ideal choice for her.
Magdalena’s primary motivation for exploring tech was to understand the implications of AI on business dynamics and how they would revolutionise the industry.
