Programme overview
The Private Capital Experiential Programme, run by the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Private Capital (IEPC), is an innovative programme for students interested in gaining hands-on experience in the venture capital and private equity industry to complement their education at London Business School.
This programme provides practical and inspirational tools and knowledge directly from leading industry professionals.
Sample project ideas for venture capital firms:
- Understand a vertical in a particular geography (for example, AI in Eastern Europe or Medical devices in China)
- Help the partners and team with the screening of ventures
- Day-to-day activities of the team on different aspects of the venture capital business
Sample project ideas for private equity firms:
- Be involved in the due diligence process of a company
- Assess market dynamics in a particular sector or geography
- Engage in a value creation project involving a portfolio company
- Support the execution of a deal
- Support the fundraising process of a fund

- Provide one paragraph detailing project expectations to be distributed to applicants, based on sample project ideas above.
- Managers are welcome to submit multiple projects.
- Provide practical experience and mentoring when possible
