Student Wellbeing Services

Wellbeing-Services-665x604

Welcome

Student Wellbeing Services’ vision is to empower students to achieve their potential. We provide confidential support to students and work collaboratively across the School to meet students' different learning needs and drive student success.

During your programme, Student Wellbeing Services is your first point of contact for support around disability, neurodivergence, long-term health conditions and your wellbeing. In 1:1 appointments, we arrange personalised reasonable adjustments to support your learning and offer a confidential space for you to talk about any issues you might be facing.

We are open during standard office hours: 09:00-17:00, Monday to Friday. You can find wellbeing resources and information about services open outside of these times below. If you need to access emergency support for your mental health or you are concerned about someone else, please scroll down to the FAQs.

Information & support

Personalised support and reasonable adjustments for students who are disabled, neurodivergent or are living with a long-term health condition.

  • Student Wellbeing Services provide a confidential, supportive space to speak about health, disability and neurodivergence. During a 1:1 appointment we’ll talk through the support available to you during your programme, including reasonable adjustments, inclusive technology and learning materials. We’ll set up a personalised Summary of Reasonable Adjustments for you which outlines the arrangements in place to support you in your studies.
  • We provide help and guidance around Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA). DSA is support to cover the study-related costs you have because of a mental health problem, long-term illness or any other disability. If you are eligible for DSA, it’s important that you start your application as soon as possible so you have the support in place in time for the start of your programme.
  • We partner with Equality Focus to provide specialist study skills tutoring and mentoring. Personalised, 1:1 support can help you to develop your individual learning styles and work to your strengths to reach your academic potential.
  • If you need detailed accessibility information about physical access in and around our campus and buildings, please visit the AccessAble site.
