Niro Sivanathan, Professor of Organisational Behaviour and Chair of LBS’s PhD programme, said: "I am delighted to have worked closely with our generous donors to share the wonderful research of our PhD candidates.
“As PhD Chair, it’s been my aim to leverage additional funding for the PhD programme and I am particularly pleased to have been involved in enabling this new funding support. I hope external investment and sponsorship continue to be developed in order to support the next generation of LBS researchers.”
The fellowships will together award five awards of £10,000 per year for five years to sixth-year PhD candidates.
The LBS PhD programme has also welcomed Yichen Yu and Chuka Dean Ezeoguine to its pre-doctoral programme.
They will support faculty in the Marketing and Management Science and Operations subject areas for two years.
Participants in the pre-doctoral programme work as research assistants on various projects and receive mentorship and support in preparation for their PhD studies at top global business schools.
