Launchpad 2024 1140x346

The latest LBS Launchpad cohort has been announced!

Recognising entrepreneurial talent from around the world, including Latin America, India, Africa, China, the US and the EU community, with a strong showing of female entrepreneurs, this year’s Launchpad will once again help support the brightest entrepreneurs, taking their amazing ideas and turning them into successful businesses.

Launchpad is a student-led pre accelerator programme that is organised by London Business School’s Entrepreneurship Club with the support of the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Private Capital (IEPC), and sponsorship from LBS alum Nigel Morris MSc19(1985) and Lori Morris.

This year’s 15 successful applicants were selected from a record-breaking number of over 100 applications across a diverse set of sectors, including Fintech, real estate, sports and Edtech. This year’s cohort will participate in a three-month programme consisting of workshops, mentorship, and hands-on training.

Past participants have gone on to join London Business School’s highly esteemed Incubator, be invited to European start-up conferences, and secure funding from local VCs.

Final stage participants have the opportunity to pitch their business to a carefully selected panel of judges, all hoping to win a cash prize of up to £10,000.

Henrique Santoianni Lyra Noblat MBA2024, Launchpad lead from the Entrepreneurship Club, says: “We are delighted to host a very impressive cohort this year. We feel strongly energized and committed to giving them the best journey possible.”

IEPC’s Executive Director Jane Khedair said that Launchpad represents an exciting opportunity to join London’s most well-connected start-up hub.

“Launchpad is proof of the fact that there is no one mold for the ideal founder – entrepreneurship is for everyone with a dream and the will to seize it.”

Keep watch for more information about the ’24 cohort, such as founder interviews and updates over the next few months as we go through the LBS Launchpad journey.

About the LBS Launchpad programme

Launchpad is a six-month immersive programme that brings together members of the London entrepreneurial ecosystem to turn ideas into viable products. Past Launchpaders have gone on to further their ventures at top accelerators around the world.

From developing a business plan, identifying investors and funding opportunities, to mentorship, securing prize money and the opportunity to eventually join London Business School’s LBS Incubator programme, the aim is to transform ideas into viable businesses. Successful applicants will participate in a structured part-time program consisting of hands-on workshops to develop a pitch that is ready to be presented to investors.

The program is based in London Business School and is supported by the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Private Capital. Participants will have the opportunity to win prize money of up to £10k, in-kind prizes, access to business mentors from LBS’s extensive network and the opportunity to join London’s most well-connected Incubator.
