LBS wins EFMD Excellence in Practice Silver Award
Partnership with ADQ to transform Abu Dhabi’s economy and society recognised
Leading accreditation body, EFMD Global, has recognised London Business School’s (LBS) transformative partnership with Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund ADQ.
The ‘Game Changers’ Executive Education programme, delivered to 100 participants over a three-year period, was awarded an EFMD Excellence in Practice Silver Award, in the category of Talent Development.
ADQ is a key stakeholder driving Abu Dhabi’s Economic Vision 2030, a government-backed strategy to decrease the emirate’s reliance on oil and gas, and grow its knowledge-based economy.
To realise its ambition, the investment fund needed to develop the skills of middle managers across its 23 partner businesses and together with LBS developed a custom Executive Education solution to unlock the potential of existing talent.
Participants from 15 ADQ businesses took part in coaching sessions, discovery visits and learning modules as part of the ‘Game Changers’ programme, with more than 250 experiments, challenges and projects delivering real-world change to Abu Dhabi.
‘Game Changers’ achieved a net promoter score of 95, with 95% of attendees describing their participation in the programme as ‘extremely’ or ‘very impactful’.
EFMD is one of the world’s leading management practice and business education accreditation organisations. Its Excellence in Practice Awards recognise best-in-class client-supplier partnerships in areas of organisational, leadership, professional and talent development.
Helen Kerkentzes, Associate Dean Executive Education LBS said: “We are so proud of the relationship and three-year journey we have been on with ADQ, bringing together such a diverse group of people and helping to accelerate their growth in pursuit of Vision 2030.
“It is fantastic to be recognised for the transformative impact of this partnership.”
