Growth in AI-driven ventures in this year’s LBS Incubator cohort

LBS Incubator programme sees 30 per cent rise in applicants

With a 30 per cent increase in applicants, more than 140 start-ups now supported, over £150m raised in seed capital and more than a thousand jobs created, London Business School’s Incubator programme is celebrating its 15th birthday in some style this year.

Eleven innovative ventures have been selected for support by the programme. LBS’s Senior Manager of Ventures, Osman Haneef, said:

“This year we had a 30 per cent increase in applicants, which not only reflects the incredible growth and maturity of the LBS startup ecosystem but also our outreach efforts. As our journey continues, we have discovered founders who aren’t just dreaming big but are already making a significant impact on individual sectors and markets as well as society at large. Many of them, like the teams from Siosense, Hay Gas, and Mongo App, have been helped to shape their businesses through specific LBS courses which further showcase the spirit of innovation at the School, such as Innovation to Market (I2M), the Entrepreneurship Summer School (ESS), and Launchpad.”

Haneef said that the rise in AI-driven ventures in this year’s cohort is a testament to the evolving landscape of entrepreneurship and is a signal of market trends.

“The founders who were eventually selected are doing much more than riding a wave. From Decisional AI’s revolutionary financial analysis tools to RideScan’s cutting-edge safety and reliability monitoring solutions for autonomous robots, these startups are pushing the boundaries of what technology can achieve, and more importantly, are building solutions that people actually want. Indeed, what truly sets this cohort apart is their proven traction and recognition. Our founders are being recognised by leading global accelerators like Y Combinator and Techstars and raising millions in funding. It’s inspiring to see how our founders are not just riding the AI wave, but truly shaping its future.”
