High demand for Class of 2022 Masters graduates
An impressive 95% of students seeking employment who graduated with a London Business School (LBS) Graduate Masters degree in 2022 received an offer of employment within three months of graduation, with Masters in Analytics and Management (MAM) graduates in particularly high demand.
Of those MAM graduates, 97% received an offer within three months of graduation. Almost half (46%) of the 71-strong MAM Class of 2022 took up roles in consulting, with finance the second biggest employer at 21%. An additional 5% of graduates took up roles in consumer and retail. Some 68% of MAM graduates opted to remain in the UK, with Europe and Asia each attracting 12% of graduates to roles in those regions, followed by Africa/Middle East (5%) and North America (3%).
Graduates from LBS’ Masters in Management (MiM) and Masters in Financial Analysis (MFA) programmes were also highly sought after, with 94% of graduates from each programme receiving job offers within three months of graduating.
Of the 280 MiM graduates, 48% have accepted a role in consulting, with financial services the second biggest sectoral employer at 26% and the technology sector attracting the next largest group with 16% of graduates. An additional 10% of graduates have taken up roles within diversified sectors, such as consumer and retail, healthcare, industrials or other alternatives. The UK attracted the most interest, with 60% of graduates opting to work in the UK. Asia (17%) and Europe (14%) were the next highest in terms of numbers of graduates accepting roles in those regions.
The Global MiM (GMiM) saw 100% of graduates accept an offer within three months of graduation, with finance the top employer (63%), followed by consulting (29%) and diversified industries (8%). Of the 24 students graduating from the GMiM programme, 88% took up roles in Asia, with the remainder of the class split evenly between Europe, North America and the UK (4% each).
Of the 198 MFA graduates, 86% chose to take up a role in finance, with investment banking the biggest employer at 58%. The remaining 14% of MFA graduates opted for non-finance roles in consulting, technology and healthcare. Two-thirds (66%) of graduates took up roles in the UK, with the remainder split between Asia (19%), Europe (14%) and North America (1%).
Graham Hastie, Associate Dean of Degree Education & Career Centre at London Business School, said the global demand for LBS talent demonstrated the high calibre of its graduates.
“The 95% employment offer rate three months after graduation is a testament to the faith that businesses across the globe place in LBS Masters graduates and their ability to have a positive impact on the world of business and beyond.”
