About me: Juan Carlos was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where he lived until going to college. He pursued a double major in Finance and Political Science and a minor in Mathematics at Manhattanville College, located in Purchase, NY. During this time, Juan Carlos also completed a year abroad at LSE, where he studied management, finance and government.
After graduating, Juan Carlos moved to New York City, where he gained vast professional experience within the alternative investments industry, working as an operations analyst at J. P. Morgan and as a business development analyst at Blackstone. Before LBS, he spent four years in the Dominican Republic, working as a corporate credit analyst at Banco Popular Dominicano and, most recently, as an asset management analyst at Terra RD Partners.
Juan Carlos chose LBS for his MBA because it allows students to gain relevant practical experience at some of the world’s most renowned firms throughout their studies and it is in his favourite city – London. He is committed to spending his time at LBS exploring distinct sectors within real estate finance and learning about impact investing.
