• Who is the Masters in Management programme aimed at?

  The Masters in Management is aimed at recent graduates who have graduated within the last two years, with a maximum of two years of postgraduate work experience. You should have the motivation and desire to build a strong foundation for a career in business and may come from a diverse academic and professional background. We will consider applicants who have broad work experience in non-traditional business roles such as engineering, science and arts.

• What is the difference between the Graduate Masters programmes?

  Our Graduate Masters programmes vary in focus and length and cater to different career goals. The Masters in Management (MiM) is designed for recent graduates with 0 to 2 years of experience who want to kick-start their career in business and build skills and knowledge to perform in all areas of management.

• What kind of career does the MiM prepare me for?

  The MiM builds skills suitable for recruitment into pre-experience roles and graduate schemes in industry, banks, consultancies and other large organisations.

• I would like to do a PhD. Is the Masters in Management right for me?

  The Masters in Management provides a strong foundation in business principles, which can be beneficial for a PhD. However, if your primary goal is academic research, you should consider programmes specifically tailored for PhD preparation.

• I’m interested in taking your MBA. Can I pursue this after completing the MiM?

  Yes, the MiM is an excellent stepping stone to our MBA programme. It provides a solid grounding in business fundamentals that will prepare you for the more advanced studies in the MBA. 

  After you graduate and have gained at least three years of work experience, you will be eligible for our One-year MBA programme, designed specifically for management professionals. We also offer a 15-18 month MBA. 

  You will need to meet the entry requirements to apply, as non-alumni do, and will not be exempt from any coursework covered on the MiM.

• Do internships taken as part of my studies count as work experience?

  Only work experience gained post-graduation is considered towards the two-year limit requirement. Internships taken during your studies do not count, even if you have completed several.

• Are there visa requirements for international students?

  Yes, international students will need a visa to study in our MiM programme. Our admissions team provides guidance on the visa application process to ensure a smooth transition.

• Can I study part-time or online?

  The Masters in Management is designed as a full-time, on-campus programme to provide the most immersive and interactive learning experience.

• What is the MiM application process?

  Before applying, you will need to ensure you meet the admission criteria and are ready to submit all the required documents.

  The admissions journey is staged, and you may apply by any of the application deadlines indicated in the calendar.

  The admissions calendar will indicate when you can expect to receive a review decision from us, and the period we will be conducting interviews, as well as the final decision date.

• What are the fees for the Masters in Management programme?

  Tuition fees for the Masters in Management 2024 intake are £47,500.

  Fees are exclusive of any programme related travel expenses. This gives you flexibility to tailor your student experience and associated costs. For example, the different Global Trips incur varying travel and accommodation costs depending on which location you choose.

  In addition to the tuition fees, there is a Student Association Fee of £180 that covers the Student Association (SA) subscription, enabling students to participate in our vibrant community.

• What will I be studying?

  Core courses include Applied Microeconomics, Data Analytics for Management, Decision and Risk Analysis, Finance, Financial Accounting, Marketing, Performing in Organisations, Strategic Analysis and The Global Macroeconomy.

  Your learning is supported by a wide range of electives and practical options, including LondonLAB and Global experiential courses.

• Do you offer any financial aid?

  LBS offers several financing options to support your graduate studies, including merit funds and bursaries. Around 20% of the Graduate Masters class each year receives funding from one of the School’s scholarships, which are supported by the School, alumni and external donors.

  In addition to our own scholarship portfolio, there are also external loan options that admitted students can apply to, including Prodigy and Future Finance.
